This is the last Member Brief of 2021. We will resume sending the Brief to members and government employees on January 9, 2022. On behalf of our staff and Board of Governors, I want to thank you for your incredible work on behalf of housing in a year when it has mattered so much in the lives of millions of our fellow Americans. I also want to thank all of you who supported NHC in our efforts to enhance collaboration among a diverse continuum of housing leaders. As we look ahead to our tenth decade, we are excited for the opportunities ahead and grateful for the accomplishments we share with you.

It has been a hard 20 months for all of us, though more for some than others. I also want to take this moment to acknowledge that many of us have lost friends and family during this horrific pandemic. Our traditions that help us grieve have been curtailed by our efforts to contain the virus, but our love and support of each other has not been diminished.
I hope that you and your family and friends have a joyous and restful holiday season and a very happy and healthy New Year. We look forward to working with you in 2022 to defend the American Dream and contribute to our vision of an America where everyone is able to live in a quality, affordable home in a thriving community.
