The National Housing Conference (NHC) works across partisan lines to develop solutions for America’s biggest housing challenges. Our members represent diverse leaders across the housing spectrum, including lenders, homebuilders, affordable housing advocates, real estate professionals, housing development corporations, housing finance agencies, and more. Leadership

  • Solutions for Housing Communications explores communications and messaging strategies for expanding awareness of affordable housing concerns.
  • Solutions for Affordable Housing examines how federal and local policies shape vital national housing issues.
  • NHC’s Housing Visionary Awards Gala honors organizations and/or individuals who make a difference in addressing homelessness and advance affordable homeownership and rental housing

Resources

NHC produces practical, solution-focused, best-practices research that highlights the challenges and opportunities for successfully advancing affordable housing.

  • Our member-only Housing Resource Center offers thousands of federal policy resources to help you make informed decisions and play an active role in shaping effective housing policies.
  • NHC’s podcast, Beyond Four Walls: Conversations on Affordable Housing, engages industry leaders and policymakers in candid conversations about pressing housing issues.
  • Our research, including the Paycheck to Paycheck database, educates members on current and emerging issues to address diverse housing needs. This database compares the cost of renting or owning a home in 390 metro areas with median incomes in 150 occupations.
  • Partnering with members, we host webinars informing stakeholders about the latest industry topics

Leadership Circle $5,000 – $25,000+
Leadership Circle is NHC’s premier membership level. As a Leadership Circle member, you gain access to exclusive networking opportunities, members-only content including NHC’s weekly Member Brief, participation in working groups, event discounts,
tickets to NHC’s Housing Visionary Awards Gala, and member benefits for additional employees, among other benefits.

Full Membership $2,500
Full membership provides access to members-only content including NHC’s weekly Member Brief, participation in working groups, event discounts, and a ticket to NHC’s Housing Visionary Awards Gala.

Basic Membership $1,000
Basic membership is for nonprofit organizations and provides access to members-only content including NHC’s weekly Member Brief, participation in working groups, and event discounts.

Individual Memberships are ideal for government employees, members of organizations that have not yet joined, individuals who support affordable housing, and retirees.

  • Individual Member – $100
  • Sole Proprietor/Small Nonprofits – $500
  • Emerging Leaders in Affordable Housing is for professionals and students 35 and under interested in affordable housing – $50
