2021 will be one of the most impactful years in housing policy. The Treasury Department is launching a $25 billion initiative to help renters hurt by the pandemic economy, the banking regulators are rewriting regulations for the Community Reinvestment Act, dozens of major housing organizations are directly addressing racial equity in housing, and trillions of dollars of economic stimulus are being debated in Congress. There has never been a better time to be a member of the National Housing Conference – but why not be a leader in the National Housing Conference?
NHC is growing our team and will be adding two new policy and research associates in the coming days. Now we are looking for a natural leader with deep housing experience to lead our policy and research work. This person will play a key role in crafting our policy agenda for the 117th Congress and the new administration. Even more important, she or he will lead our work in Congress; at the White House, Treasury and HUD; and across the housing industry.
We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, experienced and strategic; with the relationships and ability to make a difference in the lives of millions of Americans. If you think you are that person, or know someone who is, we need to hear from you. You can see the full job posting on our website, and can follow up by reaching out to our Vice President of Operations, Amanda Mitchell.
NHC has grown to more than 335 members, representing a diverse set of housing leaders in every sector of the housing universe. We have also grown in influence, effectively leveraging the work of all of our members by bringing diverse stakeholders together to get things done. If you are the right person to lead this effort, we want to hear from you today.
