Biography:
Jeff Markowitz joined the National Housing Conference (NHC) in September 2026 as Managing Director of Member and Stakeholder Relations. In this role, he leads NHC’s efforts to recruit, engage, and retain members, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and support the organization’s continued growth. He is the former Chief External Affairs Officer at Freddie Mac. Prior to that, he served in a variety of roles at the company, including Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Head of Government and Industry Relations, and Senior Director of Public Policy. Prior to Freddie Mac, Markowitz was a trial attorney at the Department of Justice, an attorney at the Federal Trade Commission, and a litigator at the law firm, Patton, Boggs. He is a graduate of Georgetown University and the Yale Law School.
