Biography:
Erika Ramirez became NHC’s Policy Associate in February 2022. Erika will be coordinating the work of the Black Homeownership Collaborative and supporting NHC policy efforts in the area of racial equity.
Previously, Erika served as a research assistant, conducting a policy and case study evaluation of transportation and racial inequities in the Baltimore and DC-Metro area. She has also interned in non-profit, serving refugee and newcomer students through education and advocacy. As well as, participating in advocacy efforts, including entrepreneurial mentorship to youth in Puerto Rico, water rights in Michigan, women’s rights, and poverty and homelessness. Erika holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
