Tomorrow, NHC will host its Annual Budget Forum from 10 a.m. until Noon in the Congressional Auditorium at the Capitol Visitor Center.
The forum will feature special guest speaker, Xavier Briggs, the associate director of governmental programs at the Office of Management and Budget.
Afterwards, Conrad Egan, president and ceo of NHC, will moderate a panel that will highlight affordable housing and community development programs included in the president’s Fiscal Year 2010 Budget.
The panel will also discuss programs and proposals to create and preserve rental housing. This conversation will include implementation of the National Housing Trust Fund, efforts to preserve HUD-subsidized rental units, and new programs to “green” rental properties and create sustainable communities.
