The National Foreclosure Prevention and Neighborhood Stabilization Task Force called on FHFA to focus more clearly on stabilizing neighborhoods in its new pilot program for facilitating investment in REO homes as rental properties. The Task Force, led by NHC, NeighborWorks America, LISC, and Enterprise Community Partners, sent a letter signed by more than 27 organizations from around the country that highlights specific areas of focus including complementing existing neighborhood stabilization efforts, green renovations, long-term affordability, nonprofit participation, monitoring and enforcing long-term commitments, and more.
