Biography:
Brittany Webb is the Senior Research Director at the National Housing Conference (NHC). In this role, she leads NHC’s research initiatives on housing affordability and related challenges impacting the housing market. Her role focuses on translating data and policy developments into actionable insights for NHC and its members, including regulatory and legislative opportunities.
Brittany manages NHC’s Paycheck to Paycheck database, which examines housing affordability for workers across occupations and metropolitan areas nationwide, and the Housing Resource Center (HRC) that provides a central hub of housing policy information for stakeholders throughout the housing ecosystem. She authors NHC’s Member Brief, a weekly newsletter of federal housing policy and industry developments, and directs and supports ad hoc research initiatives based on emerging challenges. Her work includes convening stakeholders, developing collaborations, and communicating findings to policymakers, practitioners, and industry leaders.
Prior to joining NHC, Brittany spent seven years working in multifamily affordable housing property management and development. During her tenure, she worked across a range of affordable housing programs, including HUD, USDA Rural Development, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, and locally administered programs. She centers a holistic understanding of affordable housing from property-level operations and compliance to the broader policy and market forces that shape housing opportunities.
Brittany holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Northeastern University and a Master of Public Policy from American University.
