Today, President Biden announced that Brian Deese will be leaving his position as Director of the National Economic Council. Brian has worked tirelessly to support housing affordability through the creation of President Biden’s Housing Supply Action Plan as well as the Homeowner Assistance Fund and the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
Recently, Brian coordinated the first two of a series of high level meetings in the Roosevelt Room of the White House with the Administration’s senior housing leadership team and a diverse group of housing industry leaders and fair housing and affordable housing advocates. We have had very productive discussions on bipartisan approaches to increase housing supply through legislation, improved regulations and administrative policy changes.
