The National Housing Conference (NHC) has announced three new appointees to its Board of Governors while welcoming back three returning members. With these latest additions, NHC’s Board of Governors continues to remain one of the most diverse boards in the United States. Joining returning Board members Ralph Perrey, Tennessee Housing Development Agency; Ali Solis, Solis Strategic Solutions; and Mark Willis, Furman Center for Real Estate & Urban Policy are Laura Arce, UnidosUS; Ed Brady, Home Builders Institute; and Sarah Brundage, National Association of Affordable Housing Lenders. The upcoming terms will begin in June 2024.
“We are thrilled to welcome Laura, Ed, and Sarah to our Board of Governors,” said Steve O’Connor, Chairman of NHC’s Board of Governors. “Their diverse perspectives and wealth of experience, alongside Ralph, Ali, and Mark, will help us continue to address today’s most pressing housing issues and ensure safe, affordable housing for all Americans.”
NHC remains steadfast in its commitment to assemble a board comprising highly skilled affordable housing leaders, mirroring the rich tapestry of America. NHC’s Board meets or exceeds population parity for African Americans and Latinos. Furthermore, the Board boasts sectoral diversity akin to that of the NHC membership, ensuring no single industry sector exceeds 25% representation. NHC members represent diverse leaders across the housing spectrum including lenders, homebuilders, affordable housing advocates, real estate professionals, housing development corporations, housing finance agencies, and more. NHC also seeks to maintain political diversity as well, across partisan lines. We are unified around one critical priority: affordable housing.
