Housing Partnership Equity Trust’s Anne McCulloch Appointed Chair of National Housing Conference Board of Governors

WASHINGTON – The National Housing Conference (NHC) today announced the appointment of Anne Segrest McCulloch as chair of the organization’s Board of Governors. McCulloch is president and CEO of the Housing Partnership Equity Trust, a social-purpose real estate investment trust (REIT).

“Anne McCulloch brings to NHC an extraordinary level of experience and leadership at a time of enormous challenges in housing, the economy and our society,” said David M. Dworkin, NHC’s president and CEO.

McCulloch’s career spans the entire housing industry, from her early career in community organizing, to her service as a senior advisor at the Federal Housing Administration, to her tenure as a senior vice president at Fannie Mae, and currently as the chief executive of a REIT dedicated to affordable housing financed by social impact investors. She has served on NHC’s board for nine years.

“I am proud to serve NHC and its members as the board chair, in an era when housing and homeownership is threatened on many fronts,” McCulloch said.

McCulloch succeeds Linda Mandolini, president and CEO of Eden Housing, who successfully led NHC’s Board of Governors for two years.

NHC also announced the appointment of new board officers: Vice Chair, Steve O’Connor, senior vice president for affordable housing initiatives, Mortgage Bankers Association; Secretary, Ralph Perrey, executive director, Tennessee Housing Development Agency; Treasurer, Angie Garcia Lathrop, community affairs executive, Bank of America.

Other members of the group’s executive committee include Connie Wright, Wells Fargo; Duane Duncan, Genworth Financial, and Christopher Ptomey, Terwilliger Center for Housing at the Urban Land Institute.
