Washington, D.C., February 25, 2025 – A broad coalition of 17 housing leaders have expressed strong support for Bill Pulte to serve as the next Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency. In a joint letter, the undersigned organizations urged the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs to swiftly approve his nomination and advance it to the Senate floor.
“Mr. Pulte is both a businessman with experience in the housing industry and a dedicated philanthropist with direct experience rehabilitating blighted properties and revitalizing communities,” the letter states. “Through his finance and housing experience, he has also demonstrated a commitment to and understanding of the need for resilience and sustainability in housing finance.”
The coalition highlighted the vital role of safe and affordable housing in fostering economic security, strengthening communities, and creating wealth-building opportunities for American families. They underscored Pulte’s commitment to collaborating with industry stakeholders, affordable housing advocates, and bipartisan policymakers to maintain the stability of the housing market while expanding access and affordability for all Americans.
