Solutions for Affordable Housing

November 29, 2017

Event banner

Solutions for Affordable Housing, NHC’s 2017 national housing policy convening, provided an opportunity to explore the federal housing policy landscape under a new administration and Congress. In a variety of issue areas, attendees explored policy change that may be coming, either legislatively or through agency action. Sessions also examined how states and localities are responding to housing needs and how federal policy connects to those efforts.

Plenary sessions with policymakers and senior administration officials addressed national policies that can ripple throughout the housing field, like tax reform, the federal budget and housing finance. Breakout sessions focused on issues with potential for positive change, including emerging best practices for practitioners to expand and improve their affordable housing work.
