About Policy and Research

NHC vigorously defends policies that support our American home and leverages research on housing issues and trends to help guide industry stakeholders on strategies to address America’s most pressing affordable housing needs. We advocate for reform and innovation that improves access to quality affordable homeownership and rental housing. Our deep understanding of housing policy and track record of leadership open doors for NHC and our members in the executive branch and on Capitol Hill. NHC’s Policy and Research Committee provides broad, strategic guidance to staff, such as choosing policy priorities and research initiatives.
