In this week’s episode, we revisit the convening’s fireside chat between NHC’s President and CEO David Dworkin and Senator Mark Warner (D-VA), where they discuss housing policy, bipartisan collaboration in a highly partisan Congress, and economic development issues.
During his time in the Senate, Senator Warner has established himself as a bipartisan leader who works across the aisle to accomplish sustainable solutions to America’s most important challenges. He has served as a key supporter of several pieces of critical legislation addressing today’s affordable housing shortage, including cosponsoring the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act and the Neighborhood Homes Investment Act, as well as a long-time leader and advocate for the New Markets Tax Credit.
