DESCRIPTION:NHC was pleased to have Federal Reserve Board Governor Lael Brainard join us for our National Advisory Council meeting earlier today. Governor Brainard discussed the Federal Reserve Board’s plans following the release of its September Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to modernize the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).\n\n“The core purpose of CRA remains as important as ever\, especially given the national conversation we are having about racial equity in our society and the disproportionate impact that COVID-19 is having on (low-and-moderate income) and minority communities\,” Brainard told the group.\n\n\nGovernor Brainard’s remarks start around the 27:00 min mark.
