SUMMARY:Paycheck to Paycheck 2017
DESCRIPTION:This webinar and demonstration explored the online interactive Paycheck to Paycheck database. Paycheck to Paycheck uses data from the first quarter of 2017 to examine the gap between wages and housing costs\, for both renters and homeowners\, in 203 metro areas across the country. \nThe 2017 installment of Paycheck to Paycheck focuses on healthcare workers. It examines housing affordability  challenges faced by a range of workers in healthcare occupations\, including home health aides\, physical therapy aides\, nurses\, dental assistants and emergency management technicians. \n  \n \n  \nAbout the presenter\nKaitlyn Snyder joined NHC as a policy associate in September 2015. Kaitlyn works and communicates with administration officials and congressional staff on affordable housing policy issues. She writes and produces NHC policy materials including regulatory comments\, coalition statements\, blog posts\, publications and the Restoring Neighborhoods weekly emails. Kaitlyn coordinates NHC’s Inclusive Communities Working Group and supports many of NHC’s working groups; she also represents NHC in a number of coalitions like the Campaign for Housing and Community Development Funding and the Elderly Housing Coalition.
